
Director of the Civil Aviation Agency, Ivan Scekic, is representative of Montenegro at the Krakow Aviation Summit that takes place on 29 and 30 May 2025.
“This is a good opportunity for strengthening cooperation with aviation authorities at the European level, European Union institutions and international organisations, particularly during the meeting of obligations on the way to becoming full-fledged EU Member State. Montenegro is expanding partnership connections in air transport”, Scekic said after many conversations with colleagues at margins of the summit in Poland.
Summit of the European aviation representatives followed the meeting of directors general of civil aviation from the ECAC Member States, where the achievements and future priorities were taken into consideration.
The two-day meeting, whose slogan is Towards safe, clean and competitive European aviation, is of importance for high level discussion on challenges faced by air transport, plans for future period and potential solutions.
Topics are, inter alia, traffic forecasts for summer season, sustainable aviation fuels, new technologies, safety and security, restoration of air transport in Ukraine.
The event, organised by the Civil Aviation Authority of Poland, was also participated by representatives of the European Commission (EC), international and European institutions, and from the European Parliament (EP) as well.
